The Baotou Sports Center recently announced that it has successfully won a bid to host the Baotou leg of the 2024 International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Men's Tennis Tour, according to the media.

The event is scheduled to take place from May 27 to June 2.

The ITF World Tennis Tour is an international tennis event held by ITF for tennis enthusiasts aged 35 and above. Currently, there are over 30,000 registered participants worldwide, with more than 500 events held annually in over 70 countries and regions.

This will mark another high-level international tennis tournament hosted by the city, following the success of the Baotou leg of the 2028 ITF World Women's Tennis Tour, the Baotou leg of the 2019 ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) World Men's Tennis Challenge, and the Baotou leg of the 2023 ITF World Men's Tennis Tour.

In recent years, the Baotou Sports Center has actively responded to the national strategy of promoting fitness, making full use of its resources and facilities. Through promoting tennis and holding large-scale tennis events, the center has played a significant role in promoting sports in Baotou.
