The in-person project solicitation event for the Baotou leg of the 10th China Overseas Returnees Entrepreneurship Competition was held in the Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone on April 8.

The event aimed to accelerate the commercialization of sci-tech achievements and the growth of sci-tech enterprises.

Participating teams at the event came from eight companies in Baotou, including Baotou Huanchi Biotechnology Co and Inner Mongolia Boge Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Development Co.

The China Overseas Returnees Entrepreneurship Competition is a national event focusing on entrepreneurship among overseas returnees. Since its inception, the competition has attracted over 4,500 overseas returnee project teams.

The event marks the first time Baotou has hosted an in-person project solicitation. Eight overseas returnee entrepreneurial teams from the city participated in on-site roadshows and qualified for the competition.

After further selection, four projects, including the development and clinical research of a magnetic field oscillation device for central nervous system disease treatment, successfully advanced to the semi-finals of this year's competition.
