The unveiling ceremony for "Professor Liu Huilong's Famous Doctor Clinic" was held at Sinopharm North Hospital in Baotou city on April 22.

After the establishment of this clinic, Professor Liu Huilong, director of the Oncology Department of Beijing Fengtai Hospital, will regularly conduct Endoscopic Photodynamic Therapy for digestive tract tumors at Sinopharm North Hospital, bringing innovative technology and top-tier treatment to patients.

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a phototherapy technique widely used in the United States, Japan, and Europe. Recent developments in the application of PDT have fully demonstrated its advantages in anti-tumor treatment.

Compared to traditional treatments, such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, PDT has the advantages of minimal physical trauma, rapid recovery, and few side effects.

For advanced cancer patients, or those that are unable to undergo surgery due to old age, cardiopulmonary and hepatic and renal dysfunction, or hemophilia, PDT is a palliative treatment that can effectively reduce pain, improve quality of life, and prolong life.
