Since the beginning of this year, various districts and counties in Baotou, including the Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone, have been striving to accelerate major project construction to unearth more growth points for urban development.

From April 21 to 23, the city organized a tour of 30 major project sites that are currently under construction. Government officials from various districts, counties, and development zones visited company workshops, project sites, and industrial parks to observe the progress of these projects.

They gained insights into aspects such as the investment scale, product advancement, economic and social benefits, and construction progress.

Among these projects is the high magnetic induction silicon steel project by Baotou Yili New Energy Equipment Manufacturing Co. This project is set to have an annual production of 400,000 metric tons, and is positioned in the middle of the rare earth permanent magnet motor industry.

This product is widely used in equipment manufacturing, and is exported to overseas countries such as Thailand, Turkiye, India, and Malaysia.

The company focuses on equipment research and development innovation, laying the foundation for mass production of rare earth permanent magnet motors, while also transforming rare earth technology into new quality productive forces.
