Baotou receives 1.62 million visitors during May Day holiday

During the May Day holiday from May 1 to 5, crowds flocked to major scenic spots in Baotou. It is reported that during the holiday, Baotou received a total of 1.62 million visitors, an increase of 38.07 percent compared to the previous year.
These tourists spent a total of 1.16 billion yuan ($160.54 billion) during this period, indicating an 81.64-percent increase year-on-year.
Li Xuelian, director of the Business Department of Baotou Nanhai Scenic Area Development Co, stated that on May 1, the Nanhai Scenic Area received 35,600 visitors, with a total of over 100,000 visitors during the entire holiday period.
During this period, the Baotou Guyang Great Wall National Cultural Park, the first national cultural park themed on the Qin Great Wall in China, officially opened, attracting 130,000 visitors.

To provide tourists with a better travel experience, Baotou planned 70 cultural and tourism activities and launched multiple tourist routes, meeting the personalized needs of both residents and tourists.
