Baotou college approved as examination center for CTCC
A steady stream of about 100 individuals has recently signed up to take part in the International Chinese Teacher Communication Certificate (CTCC) exam at Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College.
Just a short while ago, Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College, in collaboration and Inner Mongolia University, successfully secured approval as one of the first examination centers in Inner Mongolia autonomous region to offer this exam. Candidates from Baotou and surrounding areas are eligible to register.
According to Han Liqiang, director of the CICG Institute of International Studies and Advanced Teaching, the exam for the CTCC aims to identify a group of high-end talents that are proficient in Chinese language and culture. These talents should be capable of handling cross-language and cross-cultural teaching, which is crucial for advancing international communication efforts.
"Simply put, Chinese candidates can teach Chinese to foreigners abroad with this certificate, while foreign candidates can engage in relevant educational work in China," said Wang Gang, director of the research department at Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College.
In recent years, Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College has been progressively enhancing its international education standards and global influence. Currently, the college has established cooperative exchanges with nearly thirty institutions in over ten countries, including Mongolia, Belarus, South Korea, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, and Spain.
