The Multinational Group Inner Mongolia Tour, co-hosted by the Clean Energy Industry Association of Inner Mongolia and the China-EU Chamber of Commerce, was launched on May 15 in Hohhot – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

Representatives from 19 industry bodies and companies in seven countries – Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, the United Kingdom and Norway – participated in the three-day tour in Inner Mongolia.

According to Zhang Nan, president of the Clean Energy Industry Association of Inner Mongolia, the aim of the event was to introduce international industries suitable for local development to Inner Mongolia – addressing issues such as technology that constrain the development of the autonomous region's clean energy industry.

On May 16, the delegation visited the production plant of JA Solar Technology in Baotou and the Mingyang Solar New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in the city to explore potential commercial potential.

The primary focus of the visit was to seek out business opportunities in areas such as green hydrogen, green ammonia, green methanol, wind power and solar energy.

The crystalline silicon photovoltaic industry and the wind power equipment manufacturing industry are flagship sectors in Baotou, with significant development possibilities.

During the visit, staff members at the production base and from the industrial park provided an in-depth overview of JA Solar Technology Co and the Mingyang Group. This included their overall situation, corporate positioning, development plans and key investment projects.

Baotou and the representatives from overseas industry bodies and companies exchanged views on the current state, development advantages and resource endowments of Baotou's photovoltaic crystalline silicon industry and wind power equipment manufacturing industry – actively exploring potential areas of cooperation.
