A demonstration event for the Beidou Navigation automatic driving system for corn planting was recently held in Dachengxi village, Baotou.

During the event, three tractors equipped with the Beidou Navigation automatic driving system were used to lay plastic mulch on farmland quickly.

The use of the Beidou system on agricultural machinery reduces both labor and time. After two years of experimental promotion by the city, agricultural technicians have also found that agricultural machinery equipped with the Beidou system significantly helps improve yield and field management.

This year, the city will extensively promote the application of the Beidou system, driving a smart transformation in agricultural production, improving agricultural productivity and quality, and increasing farmers' incomes.

Sun Mingliang, a villager from Dachengxi, said, "I manage over 100 mu (6.67 hectares), and it usually takes 20 days to sow using my four-wheel tractor. The machine I saw used today would be able to finish the sowing in just two days."
