Inner Mongolia unites industry experts in groundbreaking crystalline silicon alliance
The inaugural meeting of the Inner Mongolia Crystalline Silicon Industry Technology Alliance was held in Baotou on May 20.
The alliance includes 23 leading crystalline silicon enterprises from Inner Mongolia, 12 scientific research institutions, and 14 service companies supporting the crystalline silicon industry.
The meeting featured keynote speeches by invited experts: Wang Chi, researcher of the National Institute of Metrology of China, Wang Bingnan, chief technology officer of the National Center for Quality Supervision and Inspection of Solar Photovoltaic Products, and Yang Jianying, dean of the Baotou Materials Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Their presentations were titled "Metrology Boosts New Quality Productive Forces", "Applied Research on the Empirical Testing Capability of Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Products", and "Technical Innovations in the Crystalline Silicon Industry by Shanghai Jiao Tong University", respectively.
The alliance aims to provide integrated quality infrastructure services such as metrology, standards, certification, inspection, testing, and intellectual property for crystalline silicon enterprises within the autonomous region.
It also seeks to accelerate the commercialization of technological achievements and establish mechanisms for technical exchange and cooperation in areas such as standard formulation and implementation, technological equipment iteration, information resource sharing, talent cultivation, and enterprise patent application and protection.
"This platform will better connect local industrial enterprises and technical institutions, providing support for technological innovation, standard formulation, inspection and certification, and intellectual property services in the future silicon industry," explained Wang Bingnan, chief technology officer of the National Center for Quality Supervision and Inspection of Solar Photovoltaic Products.
"We have already engaged in extensive cooperation and technical exchanges with leading crystalline silicon companies such as Daqo, Tongwei, JA Solar, and Shuangliang," he added.
