Baotou departments cooperate with Russia’s Samara institutions
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.
To support Baotou's active integration into the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, the Baotou Foreign Affairs Office, Communist Youth League Baotou Committee, and Baotou Youth Federation held an online meeting on June 7 with the Youth Committee of the Samara Region Representative Office and Samara Youth Association in Russia.
During the meeting, both parties signed a memorandum of understanding on friendly cooperation between youth organizations from the two regions. The cooperation includes conducting trade and economic investigations, promoting exchanges and cooperation between young entrepreneurs from both regions, organizing study tours to foster academic exchanges among young people in various fields, and launching online activities to share stories of China-Russia friendship.
Both sides agreed that the youth organizations of the two regions are highly compatible in areas such as youth volunteer services, vocational education development, and youth employment and entrepreneurship. They hoped that through multi-level exchanges among young people, they could promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between the governments and civil sectors of both regions.
According to the Russian and Mongolian Affairs Section of the Baotou Foreign Affairs Office, the next step will be to continue facilitating exchanges between Baotou and its international partner provinces and cities, expanding interactions in trade, technology, culture, tourism, and other fields.
