Baotou Reclaimed Water Co achieved a supply of over 23 million cubic meters of reclaimed water, with a utilization rate of 39.41 percent from January to May this year. As a water resource that can be reused after treatment, the significant advantages of reclaimed water are becoming increasingly evident.

The seven water purification plants under Baotou Reclaimed Water Co have intensified their sewage treatment efforts, with a current actual sewage treatment capacity of 483,500 cubic meters per day. These plants serve the city's five districts, and the purified water is widely used for industrial cooling, landscaping, various municipal uses, and more.

In recent years, 19 energy companies in Baotou have utilized reclaimed water for power generation cooling and coal washing, effectively increasing water resource utilization efficiency. This has gradually established an integrated management system combining pollution control, recycling, and environmental protection, thereby promoting mutual enhancement of environmental and economic development.

In addition to industrial enterprises, 13 landscaping companies in the city currently use reclaimed water, and eight reclaimed water cranes meet the various municipal water needs of the urban area.

With the further development of the city's reclaimed water recycling project, the reclaimed water industry will be refined, helping enterprises reduce production costs and alleviating the supply-demand imbalance in water usage.
