Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos, Ulaanqab support people with disabilities

Updated: 2024-07-05

At an academic exchange conference on the high-quality development of the career for people with disabilities recently held in Hohhot, the chairpersons of the disabled persons' federations from Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos, and Ulaanqab cities recently signed a cooperation framework agreement for the integrated development of the careers of people with disabilities.

Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos, and Ulaanqab in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region are connected geographically, economically, and culturally.

Effective immediately, people with disabilities in these four regions can now enjoy benefits in areas such as rehabilitation for children with disabilities, employment, and public transportation.

Firstly, children with disabilities (holding a diagnosis certificate or disability certificate) with registered permanent residence in Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos, or Ulaanqab can mutually enjoy the existing rehabilitation assistance policies for children with disabilities.

Secondly, joint job fairs for people with disabilities will be held, and individuals with valid disability certificates from these four regions can share related job information. The first special job fair for college students with disabilities from these regions will be held in Hohhot in mid-July.

Thirdly, people with valid disability certificates from these four regions can take buses and subways in urban areas within these cities for free (excluding some suburban lines).
