Baotou industrial clusters make Inner Mongolia's list
According to the Baotou bureau of industry and information technology, three clusters were recently recognized as advanced manufacturing clusters in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos Silicon Crystal New Materials and Photovoltaic Advanced Manufacturing Cluster and the Baotou Rare Earth New Materials and Application Advanced Manufacturing Industry Cluster successfully made the list.
It has been reported that Baotou, a city in Inner Mongolia, possesses the world's largest reserves of rare earth minerals. In recent years, the city has adhered to a strategy of prioritizing quality and promoting cluster development, focusing on industries such as rare earth, crystalline silicon photovoltaics, and wind power equipment.
A spokesperson from the Baotou bureau of industry and information technology stated that the city will further concentrate on its leading industries and enhance the supporting capacity of the industrial and supply chains, aiming to create large industrial clusters with strong innovation capabilities, complete industrial support, and distinct regional characteristics.
