The first Baotou Chinese Cartoon Expo was held at the Baotou Olympic Center Gymnasium on July 24, attracting numerous anime enthusiasts in elaborate costumes.

The expo primarily featured activities centered on Chinese cartoon screenings and aimed to provide a platform for local students of art, broadcasting, and related fields to showcase their talents and exchange ideas.

Spanning two days, the expo buzzed with excitement as fans engaged in the cartoon game experience zone, handmade crafts area, and cultural heritage exhibition area.

Cosplayer Kaikai appeared as a nine-tailed fox, stating, "The nine-tailed fox originates from Chinese mythology."

"There are many people in Baotou who love Chinese cartoons and ACG (Anime, Comic, and Game) culture. I came to this expo hoping to spread this culture," she added.

Li Kaiyuan, a seasoned cartoon enthusiast from Henan province, commented, "The overall atmosphere of the expo is very joyful, and the design of the surrounding cultural and creative products is exquisite. This is my second time in Baotou, and I've enjoyed the variety of delicious foods. This trip has been very pleasant."
