Updated: 2024-09-05

In recent years, Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group Co has sharpened its focus on the evolving demands for cutting-edge production capabilities, leading the transformation of traditional manufacturing through a robust push towards digital innovation.

The group has successfully crafted a sophisticated digital collaborative design platform, seamlessly linking 3D design and product data management for dozens of vehicle models across four distinct series. Its self-developed manufacturing process management system now spans a number of critical stages, including casting, forging, welding, machining, and assembly. Using the system, over 540,000 process data points for more than 200 vehicle models have been effectively managed, enabling comprehensive collaboration between design, process engineering, and manufacturing.

In the realm of operations, digitalization has emerged as a pivotal force in enhancing both maintenance and control. Of 56 key business processes, 43 have already been digitized, and First Machinery is steadily advancing towards full digital integration across its management landscape. The company's innovative safety platform, integrating 480 video streams across 14 subsidiaries, now automates the detection of violations, marking a shift from reactive safety measures to proactive oversight.

Moreover, First Machinery's material management system has unified six major business areas, linking data streams from finance, contracts, and production scheduling and thereby enabling comprehensive analysis and intelligent system upgrades. Predictive maintenance has also been prioritized, with real-time monitoring significantly lowering equipment failure rates, repair costs, and downtime.

The company has also further accelerated its efforts to establish smart production units, production lines, and entire factories, cultivating a digital-intelligent ecosystem. Pioneering breakthroughs in key technologies, such as titanium alloy vacuum argon welding and multi-robot collaboration, First Machinery has also developed China's first robot-based intelligent grinding equipment, alongside an advanced digital camouflage spraying system for specialized vehicles. These advancements position the company at the forefront of industrial innovation.
