The conference is hosted by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, with special support from the Baotou municipal people's government. At the opening ceremony, the city honored experts in the crystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) field with appointment certificates.

The two-day event brings together renowned experts and industry leaders for keynote speeches, high-level dialogues, and industrial forums to analyze the macro trends and policy direction of the crystalline silicon PV industry.

Participants will explore market prospects and technological advancements and foster cooperation across the industry’s supply chain to promote its sustainable development.

In recent years, Baotou has seized the rapid growth opportunities in the crystalline silicon PV sector, extending and refining its industrial chain. The city currently hosts over 40 companies, including industry leaders such as Shuangliang, Hongyuan, JA Solar, Tongwei, and Daqo.

Baotou's complete industrial chain includes the production of industrial silicon, polysilicon, monocrystalline ingots, wafers, solar cells, and modules. It has a production capacity of 770,000 metric tons of polysilicon, 212 gigawatts of monocrystalline silicon, 16 GW of battery and 22 GW of modules.
