Baogang Group hosts forum on rare earth applications in steel

Baogang Group recently held a high-end forum on rare earth applications in steel in Baotou city.

Key industry users, scholars, and experts from leading universities, research institutions, and financial sectors gathered to share insights, exchange ideas, and explore the vast potential of rare earth applications in steel. The event aimed to drive industrial transformation and innovation and promote green, sustainable development.

Renowned for its abundant resources, Baotou's Bayan Obo mining district is home to the world’s largest rare earth deposit, giving Baogang a unique resource advantage.

Baogang's rare earth steel products, known for their durability, corrosion resistance, and versatility, have earned widespread acclaim. Committed to advancing the "Rare Earth+" strategy, Baogang uses its resource advantages and research capabilities to develop innovative rare earth steel materials with independent intellectual property rights.

China has made significant progress in rare earth steel research, with rare earth steel gaining widespread attention. Baogang's rare earth steel products were used to manufacture the FAST radio telescope, Beijing Daxing International Airport, the Bird's Nest Stadium, and the Qinghai-Xizang Railway, demonstrating exceptional strength and resilience and supporting national infrastructure projects.

Experts, including Ren Huiping, chairman of the China Rare Earth Society's Rare Earth Steel Committee, delivered keynote speeches at the seminar. Baogang also signed agreements to establish strategic partnerships with the Metallurgical Industry Information Standard Research Institute and China Communications Materials Co.
