The China Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Conference and the Third Inner Mongolia Hydrogen Energy Promotion Conference opened on Nov 27 in Baotou, marking a significant step in the national green hydrogen agenda.

The conference set forth a bold vision for Baotou – to become China's first all-scenario green hydrogen innovation city and a key national hub for hydrogen equipment manufacturing. With abundant wind and solar resources, Baotou is uniquely positioned to reduce the cost of green hydrogen production.

The upcoming hydrogen transmission corridor will further cut transportation costs, while ongoing initiatives are expanding the scope of real-world applications.

Inner Mongolia offers a rich combination of advantages for green hydrogen development, including natural resources, low costs, strong market demand, policy support, geographic location, financial tools, and proven industrial practices.

During the two-day event, the Inner Mongolia Hydrogen Industry Development Report and new policy measures were released, as well as the Inner Mongolia Hydrogen Energy Promotion Association and the Inner Mongolia Hydrogen Research Institute, which were also launched, further reinforcing the region's commitment to becoming a national leader in hydrogen energy.
