The Baotou City Multimedia Center's volunteer team continued their efforts to support farmers by heading to Guyang county's Xidoupu town on Dec 22, aiming to promote rural vitalization by encouraging the purchase of local agricultural products.

A bus full of caring businesses and citizens arrived at 10 am, offering local specialties such as mutton, wheat flour, and spicy sauces, which earned enthusiastic praise from visitors. "It's so convenient to buy authentic Guyang products here, and after trying them, I'm taking some home," said Wang, a resident.

Guyang's agricultural products have long been beloved in Baotou, and this event showcased the town's rich agricultural heritage. From the nationally recognized medicinal herb astragalus to buckwheat noodles, the event showcased the region's high-quality produce.

Yin Xiangjun, Party secretary of the village, proudly shared that Xidoupu is home to China's finest edible sunflower seeds, with a significant presence in the market.

In addition to shopping, the event featured live streaming, charity donations for veterans and individuals with disabilities, as well as free medical consultations, all of which reinforced the spirit of community support. Total sales reached 289,000 yuan ($40,171), with future orders amounting to 1.87 million yuan.
