Baotou enters new era of seamless connectivity
In 2024, Baotou's transportation network has reached new heights, thanks to new and improved roads, railways, and airways.
Key milestones include the completion of vital infrastructure projects like extensions on Jian'an Street and Minzu West Road, which ease traffic congestion and improve accessibility for nearly 300,000 residents.
The Jian'an Street east extension, completed in just 45 days, links major districts via a six-lane artery, while Minzu West Road's southern extension creates a "life corridor" for emergency and daily transportation.

Baotou is also advancing green mobility with 799 charging stations and 6,860 charging piles, supporting eco-friendly travel. The city's first smart variable lane at a key intersection reduces congestion, embodying Baotou's vision of "smart and sustainable" transit.
In the skies, Baotou Airport has expanded connectivity with new routes to cities like Dalian and Yantai, as well as the longest regional route linking Alshaa Left Banner and Hulunbuir. During summer and winter, more frequent flights are offered to destinations like Chongqing and Chengdu, ensuring smooth journeys year-round.
Baotou's integrated, innovative transport upgrades are transforming the city into a hub of opportunity and livability, bridging people and possibilities.
