Baotou Aluminum Industry Park achieved a milestone with the successful power transmission of its 900-megawatt green power supply project, marking a key step forward for Baotou's renewable energy demonstration zone. Meanwhile, Baotou Aluminum Co's project in Damao Banner, comprising 1,000 MW of wind and 200 MW of photovoltaic capacity, also completed its initial power delivery.

After seven months of construction, both projects have begun operations, providing a total installed capacity of 2,100 megawatts of renewable energy. These initiatives are expected to supply over seven billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually, raising the share of clean energy to more than 40 percent and reducing CO₂ emissions by 5.96 million metric tons each year.

By integrating wind, solar, and energy storage, Baotou Aluminum Co is building a cleaner, more efficient power system for electrolytic aluminum production, supporting both local industrial decarbonization and high-quality development of the aluminum sector.
