Baotou holds cybersecurity education and warning conference
Baotou convened a cybersecurity education and warning conference on Jan 17 to strengthen accountability and risk prevention in cyberspace governance. Attendees watched an educational film on cybersecurity risks and reviewed the city's cybersecurity performance throughout 2024.
The meeting emphasized the need to enhance ideological and security responsibilities across regions and departments, calling for stronger oversight, improved threat response, and continued vigilance against emerging cyber threats. Representatives from districts, public agencies, and online platforms also delivered statements committing to improved compliance.
Guided by the Cyberspace Administration of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the conference brought together management departments, publicity and network security officials, public security bureaus, and major website operators to reinforce collaboration in building a safer and more orderly digital environment.
