Inner Mongolia's first cross-border duty-free store, Baomian International, has opened at Baotou's Maoye Plaza. Operated by Tangshan Qibei Supply Chain Management Co, the store offers a wide range of products, including cosmetics, skincare, and luxury suitcases, at 40 to 60 percent off regular retail prices.

All products are traceable via the "China Customs" mobile app, ensuring transparency from origin to purchase. Customers can also order online through a mini-program for added convenience. To promote the launch, Baotou commerce bureau is distributing special consumption vouchers during the Spring Festival, providing discounts of up to 200 yuan ($27.40) for in-store purchases.

The store is expected to enrich local commercial offerings, provide access to high-quality imported goods, and support the development of Baotou’s bonded logistics zone through cross-border e-commerce.
