Baotou has fully adopted electronic road transport permits since the beginning of this year, significantly improving administrative efficiency and user experience. Transport operators and drivers can now apply for and display e-permits via platforms such as WeChat applets and the "Daoyuntong" app, eliminating the need for physical documents. 

Not only does this reduce the risk of losing or damaging permits, but it also enables real-time verification during inspections. While existing physical permits remain valid until expiration, they are being gradually replaced during annual reviews or qualification renewals.

To support this transition, government service centers are providing guidance and training, ensuring applicants understand the procedures. The move aims to enhance regulatory oversight and offer greater convenience, allowing data to replace legwork for citizens and authorities.
