The Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Baotou has launched two automotive industry organizations – the Automobile Trade Association and Automobile Integrity Consumption Alliance – to strengthen industry collaboration and consumer protection. 

As the guiding authority, the zone's Market Supervision and Emergency Management Bureau has supported over 50 local auto enterprises with policy guidance and market analysis. Member companies generated 586 million yuan ($81 million) in sales during the first two months of 2025 – a 17.4 percent year-on-year growth. 

The new platforms will organize industry forums, exhibitions, and policy advocacy initiatives to enhance market competitiveness while promoting ethical business practices. These developments position Baotou as a growing hub for automotive trade in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
