New college established in Baotou
The unveiling of Inner Mongolia Special Equipment College on March 17 at Baotou Iron and Steel Vocational Technical College marks the establishment of the first special equipment college in the autonomous region built by the government, universities, and enterprises.
During the unveiling event, cooperation agreements were signed between Inner Mongolia's education department and administration for market regulation, Baotou lron and Steel Vocational Technical College, Inner Mongolia Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute, and the lnner Mongolia Special Equipment Association. Six leading enterprises also signed order agreements with the college. Eighteen special equipment experts were appointed special professors and enterprise mentors of the college, building a solid bridge for integrating industry, education, and school-enterprise cooperation.

Special equipment refers to boilers, elevators, lifting machinery, large amusement facilities, and specialized motor vehicles in factories that pose significant personal and property safety risks, as determined in the special equipment catalog approved by the State Council.
The college will continue to integrate industrial and educational special equipment resources and focus on building a high-level practice center for industry-education integration, talent training, and achievement transformation. It will also contribute to ensuring special equipment safety and promoting economic and social development.
