Border police bring national security awareness to public

Updated: 2025-04-16

Baotou exit-entry frontier inspection station launched campaigns during China's 10th National Security Education Day to promote security awareness among travelers, students, and residents. At the Port of Mandula, officers serving as legal awareness promoters educated outbound travelers about the prevention of cross-border fraud while ensuring smooth customs clearance.
In local communities, police engaged residents through interactive workshops combining legal explanations, case studies, and quizzes, exposing common overseas job scams and gambling traps. The station also partnered with courts to host a police open day event, where university students witnessed K9 unit demonstrations and learned about border security operations firsthand.
"These experiences give young people a clearer understanding of how to serve the country," remarked a vocational school teacher. By employing both outreach programs and immersive activities, the initiative made national security concepts more accessible to ordinary citizens while highlighting the crucial role of border officers in maintaining stability.
