On April 24, Baotou launched the "heart-to-heart connection" program in Saihan sub-district, utilizing expertise from new social stratum professionals to provide community mental health services.

Organized by the United Front Work Department and Society Work Department of the CPC Baotou Municipal Committee, the program deploys licensed counselors and therapists to offer psychological support across 12 sub-districts, half a dozen schools, and eight enterprises over six months, aiming to benefit about 400,000 residents. 

The launch ceremony included credential presentations to the expert team and an inaugural workshop by senior counselor Li Hongxia. Cui Kai, program coordinator, emphasized its role in early detection of mental health needs and stress management for vulnerable groups.
