In a significant push to enhance medical services, Baotou has allocated 69.5 million yuan ($9.53 million) in special funds during the first quarter of 2025. The investment targets critical healthcare improvements, including 14.45 million yuan for upgrading clinical specialties and strengthening epidemic monitoring systems at infectious disease hospitals.
Another 21.15 million yuan has been earmarked for professional training programs for resident physicians and general practitioners, while 33.9 million yuan will be used to bolster grassroots medical services through essential medicine subsidies and income support for rural doctors.
