Baotou community hosts vibrant bazaar
The Fulin Road community in Baotou recently organized a lively "warm-hearted bazaar" that combined practical services with cultural activities, attracting numerous residents. The event featured free health checkups including blood pressure and glucose monitoring for seniors over 65, along with chronic disease management consultations.
Government staff provided on-site assistance with elderly subsidy applications and anti-fraud education, while local vendors offered affordable agricultural products and fresh milk. The bazaar also included haircut services and cultural performances, creating a festive atmosphere. Gao Xueliang, the community's Party secretary, emphasized the event's role in building neighborhood bonds and meeting diverse needs through collaboration with 28 partner organizations including businesses and social groups.
Mr. Li, a resident of the community, praised the initiative for addressing daily needs while fostering community spirit. The successful integration of community services, cultural displays and policy education demonstrated an innovative approach to community governance and social cohesion.
