Dongdagou village in Baotou's Qingshan district has made China's 2024 most beautiful villages list – a recognition of its successful integration of environmental preservation and cultural tourism. The village combines natural resource management with an "art + rural" development model, featuring sculpture museums, intangible cultural heritage workshops, and annual art festivals.

The village previously earned national honors such as "National Model Village for Rural Governance" and "National Key Rural Tourism Village". It has become a model for sustainable practices through its eco-tourism and art initiatives. Local authorities plan to further enhance agricultural-cultural-tourism integration, positioning the village as a regional exemplar of green development and rural revitalization in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
