The 2025 youth exchange online activity for China and Mongolia’s friendly provinces and cities was held on June 20.

The activity was hosted by multiple departments and schools, including the Baotou municipal foreign affairs office, Baotou education bureau, and Baotou No 14 Middle School.

It showcased youth vitality and friendship from both countries through promotional videos, school education feature exhibitions, speeches by young people, and cultural performances, deepening cultural exchanges between China and Mongolia.

As an important city of China's opening-up to the north, Baotou has participated in the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor. Since the establishment of friendly city relations, Baotou and Mongolia’s Orkhon Province have carried out exchanges and cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, investment, culture, and education.

Fan Hua, head of the policy and regulations department of the Baotou municipal education bureau, said, "This event is not only a friendly exchange between the education departments and schools of the two countries, but also a powerful measure aimed at turning Baotou into an educationally strong city. Through real-time connection technology, youth from both sides can feel the charm of education through cultural collision.”

Baotou will continue to provide service guarantees for exchanges between the two sides, promote friendly cooperation in various fields, and write a new chapter in the history of friendship between the two cities.
