As the city's first professional exhibition with a printmaking theme, the event has garnered considerable attention since its conception. Jia Zhenguo, an art teacher and research officer at the municipal education and teaching research center, said that this exhibition took nearly five months of preparation and received 396 works from more than 100 frontline art teachers in the city. A total of 120 works have been selected, encompassing various forms, including woodcut prints, copperplate prints, silk screen prints, and composite material prints, which demonstrate the creative vitality of the city's art teachers.
The exhibition is divided into three major sections: "Tradition and Innovation", "Teaching and Practice", and "Localization and Diversity", presenting all aspects of printmaking art's unique charm. At the interactive experience area, visitors can try their hand at on-site printmaking, enhancing participation in the exhibitions and providing an interactive platform for popularizing printmaking art.
Kang Gang, an art teacher from the municipal science and technology youth palace, came to the exhibition with his artwork Sunflower, which he created three years ago. This black and white woodcut artwork is themed around sunflowers and butterflies, depicting the harmonious coexistence of plants and insects. "I hope to have exchanges with peers through this exhibition, improve my professional level, and inject new vitality into art teaching," said Kang.
