Baotou has allocated 21.38 million yuan ($2.98 million) of financial funds this year to promote the integration of national fitness and national health, improving the quality and efficiency of sports development.

The funds will be used to ensure that large public sports venues, such as the Olympic Sports Center Stadium, gymnasium, and swimming pool, are either free to the public or available at a low cost. This will provide basic public sports services, maximize the benefits of sports venues, meet the public's fitness needs, and create a conducive atmosphere for national fitness.

The funds will promote the construction and maintenance of sports facilities, including the Wusutu Community Sports Stadium, the Baiyun Ebo Mining Area Sports Park Phase II Project, and the Zhaojun Lake (Xiaobai River) Fitness Trail, supporting the widespread development of national fitness activities.

They will enrich youth sports events and support the hosting of the 33rd China-Japan-South Korea International Youth Games, the 11th China-Russia-Mongolia International Youth Games, and the Autonomous Region Hockey Elite Training Camp, thereby building a high-quality event platform to stimulate teenagers' enthusiasm for participating in sports and cultivating reserve talents in competitive sports.

They will also support national sports exercise standard compliance testing activities, provide scientific fitness guidance services to the public, popularize fitness skills, improve health knowledge, and help cultivate healthy lifestyles.
