The Baotou agriculture and animal husbandry bureau organized local enterprises to participate in the Inner Mongolia Fresh Beef Industry Brand Launch Conference, which was recently held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, by the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.

Agricultural and livestock products, such as Guyang's Astragalus mongholicus and Damao Banner's sheep, were showcased, enabling the southern market to gain a deeper understanding of Baotou's rich agricultural and animal husbandry resources.

These characteristic products reflect the achievements of Baotou's agricultural and animal husbandry development, carrying the unique geographical and cultural connotations of the local area.

At the signing ceremony, Inner Mongolia Agricultural and Cultural Products Industry Development Group Co signed a cooperation agreement with Guangdong Hengxiang Agriculture Group Co, which included a purchase order for 100,000 live cattle and 9,000 metric tons of fresh mutton, totaling 6.62 billion yuan ($922.9 million).

The agreement encompasses multiple fields, including cattle breeding, beef processing, and sales. It opens up a vast southern market for Baotou's beef cattle industry and lays a solid foundation for integrating the agricultural and animal husbandry industry chains of both regions. Through the cooperation of industries in the north and south, Baotou's ecological advantages will be further transformed into economic advantages, injecting strong impetus into the growth of local farmers' and herdsmen's incomes and rural vitalization.

Baotou will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Guangdong and other regions, optimize its agricultural and animal husbandry industry structure, and improve the quality and brand influence of its agricultural and livestock products.
