Baotou hydrogen project to start operation in August

Updated: 2025-07-07

Baotou Qinchen Technology Co's Hydrogen Energy Industry and Renewable Energy Integration Project, the first of its kind to settle in the city, now has the capacity for large-scale production and plans to commence production in August.

The company's assembly line for 5,000 sets of hydrogen fuel cell stacks has entered its trial production stage. The fuel cell stacks will serve as core components in hydrogen energy vehicles and hydrogen power stations.

Zhang Xiujun, a company representative, announced that the company will launch formal production orders based on the matching of hydrogen refueling stations and hydrogen sources.

The project will collaborate with upstream and downstream energy, coal, steel, and equipment industries to provide efficient services for hydrogen-fueled heavy-duty trucks, logistics, and public transportation in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

It will also address hydrogen energy demands in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and the Yangtze River Delta, promoting the formation of an "energy supply-equipment manufacturing-terminal application" cycle for industrial ecological development.

The project will intensify its efforts in technological innovation, expand the industrial chain, attract partner projects, and strive to achieve self-sustainability in the hydrogen energy industry chain.
