Twenty-four enterprises in the Baotou Rare-Earth Hi-tech Zone received 13.77 million yuan ($1.92 million) in financial subsidies for research and development investment in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 152.38 percent.

The amount of subsidies and number of beneficiary enterprises both rank first in the city, generating an increase of over 200 million yuan in R&D investment by enterprises.

Since the beginning of this year, the scientific and technological innovation bureau of the Baotou Rare-Earth High-tech Zone has been working to optimize services and provide precise guidance for the entire process of research and development projects, cost collection, and establishment of auxiliary accounts for enterprises included in the statistical network reporting system.

It has organized four specialized training sessions on R&D investment collection and reporting and 72 "point-to-point" services to solve problems and promote standardization, benefiting 209 enterprises above designated size.

The Baotou Rare-Earth Hi-Tech Zone will continue to expand the scale of its innovation entities, optimize its innovation service system, and gather high-quality innovation resources, building a platform for the integration of industry, academia, and research, enhancing the independent innovation capabilities of technology enterprises, and injecting strong momentum into the zone's high-quality development.
