Baotou projects receive top-level support
The Science and Technology Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region recently announced the list of approved projects for enhancing the autonomous region's science popularization capabilities in 2025, including 21 top-level support projects. Six Baotou projects made the list, receiving 900,000 yuan ($125,396) in project funding support.
In recent years, Baotou has been making strong efforts to improve the scientific literacy of its people and create a first-class innovation ecosystem.
This year, four units have been approved as science popularization demonstration bases in Inner Mongolia, while 377 units have completed the 2024 science popularization statistical survey. At the same time, the Baotou Science and Technology Activity Week was held, accelerating the formation of a large-scale science popularization system marked by joint participation and management.
The Baotou science and technology bureau will continue to strengthen project implementation management and supervision support, integrate high-quality resources, develop grassroots science popularization services, and focus on the construction of science popularization infrastructure, resource development and utilization, and talent cultivation, promoting the high-quality development of Baotou's science popularization work.
