Baotou improves public health services
The health commission of Inner Mongolia autonomous region has announced its fourth batch of medical leading disciplines, key disciplines, cultivated disciplines, and key laboratories, with Baotou a highlight in this selection due to its outstanding achievements.
Seven disciplines, including neurosurgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, and oncology at the Tumor Hospital of Baotou City, have been awarded titles as leading disciplines, covering key areas such as internal medicine, surgery, and tumor prevention and treatment.
These disciplines have been advancing clinical diagnosis and treatment, scientific research innovation, and talent cultivation for many years, becoming a core force in the diagnosis and treatment of related diseases.
Thirty key disciplines have been selected, including radiation therapy at Baotou City Central Hospital, pediatrics and joint surgery at the Fourth Hospital of Baotou, and urology at Baogang Hospital of Inner Mongolia.
These disciplines cover a wide range of fields from basic nursing to specialized diagnosis and treatment, reflecting the comprehensive development of the city's medical and health system.
Ten cultivated disciplines, including clinical nursing, clinical pharmacy, and critical care medicine, have demonstrated significant growth potential. The toxicology key laboratory established by Baotou Medical College of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology will also provide vital support for regional public health safety and medical research.
A representative of the Baotou Health Committee said, "We will continue to consolidate our leading position in advantageous disciplines, enhancing our overall strength, striving to build a scientific research and innovation system that cultivates top disciplines, and improving the quality and level of medical services to better meet the diversified health needs of the people."
