Baogang United Steel Co has supplied a major high-speed railway project with steel rails capable of supporting speeds of up to 400 kilometers per hour, marking a significant breakthrough in China's high-speed rail technology, with performance indicators for this batch reaching the leading level in China.

Li Liangjun, a company representative, said, "This railway line has the highest designed speed in China. The dimensional accuracy, surface quality, internal composition, and comprehensive performance requirements of the rails are extremely strict, representing the highest standards in China."

The company's R&D team spent six months overcoming technical challenges in dimensional accuracy control and metallurgical purity, developing a new type of high-speed rail with high strength and long lifespan characteristics.

Compared with traditional high-speed rails, the new product improves flatness by 20 percent. It reduces the content of harmful inclusions, laying a material foundation for the safe, smooth, and high-speed operation of future high-speed railways.

The company's products have been widely used in major national engineering projects such as the Baotou-Yinchuan High-speed Railway, with a domestic market share of over 30 percent.

The company will utilize the unique advantages of rare earth steel, promote the upgrade and structure optimization of rail products, and expand the high-speed passenger railway and heavy-duty freight railway markets, ensuring the supply of steel rail for core sections of national key projects.
