Baotou holds international cooperation conference

The 2025 International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research, and Application (Inner Mongolia autonomous region) was held in Baotou from Aug 2 to 3.

The conference attracted over 150 experts, scholars, and company representatives from countries including China, Russia, and Mongolia. Focusing on green metallurgy and intelligent manufacturing, it aimed to deepen international cooperation between industry, academia, research, and application, and promote the green and low-carbon transformation and intelligent upgrading of industries.

During the conference, the China-Belarus Advanced Coatings International Joint Laboratory and the China-Mongolia Joint Laboratory for Environmental Protection and Ecological Restoration were established. These platforms will strive to deepen technological cooperation and promote common development in high-end equipment manufacturing and ecological environment among countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology signed agreements with Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Co on building graduate training bases, cultivating high-level talent, and strengthening collaborative sci-tech innovation.

Participants also engaged in discussions on four sub-forum themes, including green energy and new materials, green intelligent metallurgy theories and technologies, and low-carbon intelligent mining, exploring effective paths for industrial collaborative development.
