At the recently concluded second Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Youth Ball Games, school teams from various districts in Baotou won multiple honors for the city.

In the high school soccer competition, the reigning champion Baotou No 4 Middle School soccer team represented Baotou and defended their title. In the junior high school men's soccer competition, the team of Qingshan District No 1 Middle School won the championship.

In the basketball competition, the Baotou School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University achieved an impressive record of two consecutive championships in the junior high school group and won third place in the high school group.

In the primary school basketball competition, the "Little Giants Basketball Team" of Hondlon District Second Experimental Primary School Education Group won the championship through sheer talent.

In the girls' volleyball event, the first team of Baotou No 1 Middle School's won the championship and the second team won third place. The team of Gongyuan Road Elementary School won the championship in this group with an undefeated record.
