The First Baotou Youth Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Talent Competition and Launch Ceremony of the National Youth Talent Pool — Baotou Station took place on Jan 22, gathering top experts and scholars to discuss the development path of youth AI education.

The event focused on curriculum development, teacher training, talent pool development, and home-school collaboration, and released a comprehensive plan and collaborative mechanism for implementing a youth science and technology innovation cultivation system. It created a collaborative ecosystem for talent development, breaking down resource barriers, pooling strengths, and supporting the growth of young innovators in science and technology innovation.

During the event, experts and scholars shared cutting-edge perspectives and practical experience. Professor Yang Chengwei from Beijing Institute of Technology said, "Baotou has abundant science and technology innovation enterprises, various research institutes, and multiple large State-owned enterprises. These high-quality social resources have laid a solid foundation for the development of science and technology innovation education."

To support the development of outstanding science and technology innovation talent, the event announced a partnership with the Zhongguancun Talent Association (ZTA) National Youth Innovation Talent Pool platform. Through this cooperation, exceptional science and technology students from Baotou will be included in the national talent reserve.

ZTA representative Yuan Xiaolong said, "We will establish a digital archive to track the innovation and growth of young people in Baotou, recording their achievements and providing data support for the early identification and cultivation of talent. This will deepen cooperation between Beijing and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region in education and technology, promote cross-regional resource sharing and talent exchange, and drive regional innovation and coordinated development."

This means that Baotou's youth talent pool will be integrated into the National Youth Talent Pool, creating an interconnected talent pool and enabling the science and technology innovation talent in Baotou to better serve the national innovation layout.
