China-Mongolian enterprises negotiate $5.5bn investment

A total of 37 cooperative projects were signed at a China-Mongolia investment promotion fair, valued at 36.4 billion yuan ($5.49 billion), as part of the 2nd China-Mongolia Expo in Hohhot on Sept 26. 

The fair aimed to introduce merchants from China and abroad regarding the profitable investment environment in Mongolia and Inner Mongolia, and negotiate major projects including husbandry products processing, mining and metallurgy industries, logistics, refined chemicals, cloud computing, and tourism.

At the fair, Inner Mongolia brought over 300 commercial projects, with an expected investment of nearly 820 billion yuan. 

Entrepreneurs also conducted talks in Mongolia’s business projects in sectors such as cashmere, infrastructure, and power construction.
