2021-10-26 (chinadaily.com.cn)

Ejine Banner in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region announced that everybody in its jurisdiction must take COVID-19 personal protective measures starting Oct 25, as it reported 15 new confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases that day.

To date, Ejine Banner has confirmed a total of 58 COVID-19 cases in the latest wave of infections, and all infected people have been sent to designated hospitals for treatment.

Ejine Banner designates people as high-risk, medium-risk, and low-risk individuals based on their recent travel or residence history, current health status, and history of contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients.

The 37 residential communities in the banner were also divided into 16 enclosed control areas and 21 controlled areas.

Closed management is implemented in all enclosed control areas. Everybody is required to stay at home, and door-to-door services will be provided.

Health monitoring, nucleic acid testing, terminal disinfection, and environmental monitoring will also be enhanced.

People living in controlled areas can participate in activities in their residential communities, but must avoid gathering and are forbidden from leaving the community.

Regular nucleic acid testing, health monitoring, and standardization of disinfection in key areas are required.

Supply reserves, especially those of daily necessities, are currently sufficient.

During this strict control period, food, medicine, and other living supplies will be provided.

If residents in enclosed and controlled areas fall ill, they can directly contact community workers and police officers to receive treatment at the Mongolian Medical Hospital of Ejine Banner.

Those in urgent need of treatment can dial 120 to be picked up by an ambulance.
