Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has strengthened COVID-19 prevention and control measures, according to local media reports.

Starting on Oct 24, Hohhot began carrying out nucleic acid tests in the city's four urban areas as well as Taigemu town in Tumd Left Banner.

As of 16:00 on Oct 24, the city has set up 1,874 sampling points, with a total of 7,095 medical personnel.

In order to avoid cross-infection during nucleic acid sampling, the city requires that nucleic acid sampling be carried out in an orderly manner in different districts, buildings, and time periods to prevent large numbers of people from gathering.

Currently, essential agricultural products in the city's wholesale markets are in stable supply. There is a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, including rice, edible oil, and condiments.

In order to ensure market price stability of agricultural and related products, the city's market supervision administration has strengthened market price supervision and organized key market inspections and random spot checks.
