North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region obtained 102.5 million yuan ($15.38 million) from the central government to support the construction of testing laboratories and treatment facilities and equipment at border ports in the region.

The investment fund will be used in the region's four projects, which include the laboratory capacity improvement project of the Manzhouli Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the infectious disease area project of the Ejine Banner People's Hospital in Alshaa League.

This was stated at the "Notice on the Release of the Second Batch of Central Budget Investment Plans in the Health Field in 2022", which was recently issued by the National Development and Reform Commission.

Moving forward, the Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission and Inner Mongolia Health Commission will jointly distribute the funds in a timely manner and follow up on the construction of the target projects.
