Inner Mongolia signs 48 deals at Silk Road International Exposition

North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region signed agreements for 48 investment and trade cooperation projects worth around 130 billion yuan ($19.50 billion) with Northwest China's Shaanxi province during the Sixth Silk Road International Exposition.

The projects involve in such sectors as the production and processing of green agricultural and livestock products, culture and tourism, energy, strategic emerging industries and the digital economy.

The Sixth Silk Road International Exposition opened on Aug 14 in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, and will run until Aug 18.

With the theme of strengthening interconnectivity and integration for common progress, shared benefits and win-win results, the expo has attracted participants from over 70 countries and regions.

Inner Mongolia serves as a guest autonomous region of honor at the expo, and has arranged for a total of 85 enterprises to participate in this year's event.

In addition to investment and trade cooperation projects, Inner Mongolia and Shaanxi province also signed a strategic cooperation framework deal and work deals related to education, culture, tourism, science and technology.
