Inner Mongolia launches Facebook page to highlight a green vision

2022-08-22 (chinadaily.com.cn)

Green Inner Mongolia, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's Facebook page, was launched on Aug 22, as its latest platform to bring its green development to an international audience.

As the important ecological security barrier in northern China, Inner Mongolia prioritizes ecological development. Over recent years, it has been exploring new paths of high-quality growth, strengthening ecological environmental protection and governance, and promoting a green, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly energy system.

The Inner Mongolia Facebook page will feature stories of the region's green development, highlighting its contributions to the dual carbon goals to establish the new image of a green Inner Mongolia.

The page will post photos, posters, short videos, and info graphics and livestreaming events. The contents will cover the region's grassland, forest, desert, scenery, cultural tourism, agriculture, industry, and green energy, centering on sustainable and prosperous development.

Interactive activities will also be planned to focus on hot topics of green and ecological development in Inner Mongolia, including an open submission for short videos on the landscapes of Inner Mongolia.

The page will also interact with followers and overseas organizations involved in environmental and ecological development, such as UNESCO, UNEP, UNDP, and the European Environment Agency, to show the livability and green development of the region.

The Facebook page is expected to become an important part of Inner Mongolia's global communication matrix, adding to its international communication platforms that already include English websites, specials, and overseas social media pages of the autonomous region, and specifically of Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos, Alshaa League, Yili Group, and the Kangbashi district of Ordos.
