Full of thrills and passion, the 20th Ice and Snow Nadam Fair of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region kicked off in Chen Barga Banner in Hulunbuir city on Dec 17.

This year's fair carries the theme "Celebrating the 14th National Winter Olympics, Encountering Nadam," inviting both domestic and international tourists to experience the unique allure of the Hulunbuir snowy plains.

It is scheduled to last for around 30 days until early January.

The fair features thrilling competitions such as Mongolian horse racing in the snow, motorcycle racing, and the "men's three skills" of archery, wrestling and horse riding that display Mongolian sporting customs.

Activities such as a marathon at Genhe, known as the "Cold Pole of China", and Zhalantun Jinlong Mountain skiing, will also be held.
